Fall Reading List and Life Journals

Each quarter we provide a scripture reading schedule to encourage the development of your personal spiritual formation. Fall Kick Off 2015

We are kicking off our next ministry season on Sunday September 13.  Join us on the lawn at 10am between services for brunch.  During this meal together you’ll have a chance to get more information about upcoming events, groups, and service opportunities for the next season.  We’ll have some fun stuff for kids too!

Vacation Bible School: SonSpark Labs

Kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to SonSpark Labs VBS, June 24-28, from 9AM-Noon, where they’ll get to explore the answers to universal questions: Day 1: Who made the World and Me? Annual Congregational Meeting May 6

Wednesday, May 6, 2015,  is the date for the Longview Community Church Annual Congregational Meeting, to be held in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m., following a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall. The meeting will be chaired by 2014-15 Board of Directors President, Susie Kirkpatrick, with elections of Board, Deacon and Nominating Committee members. April: Milky Cow Month!

Longview Community Church helps support Community House on Broadway by providing milk during the month of April. Sign up on the “Milky Cow” Calendar in the Fellowship Hall to purchase 5-6 gallons of milk for a day in April, and deliver them to Community House on Broadway. Help us support our local Community House!

Scholarship Deadline April 30

Class of 2014 High School Seniors active at Longview Community Church: Scholarship application forms are available in the church office. Deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Holy Week: MAUNDY THURSDAY Service

A Soup and Bread Supper and Remembrance service will be held at 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday, April 2, in the Fellowship Hall. In additional a 24-hour Prayer Vigil will commence at 9 p.m. Thursday, concluding at 9 p.m. on Good Friday. Those who have signed up to cover an hour or two will have received reminder notices.

Community-wide Good Friday Service

Longview Community Church will host the Community-wide Good Friday service in the Sanctuary once again at noon, April 3. An additional Good Friday evening time of worship is planned for 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Easter Services April 5

Celebrate the Resurrection with us this Sunday, April 5, at 8:45 and 11:00.  Senior Pastor John Williams will speak on passages from Luke, as we  “Look for the Living”!
