Chris Ferguson

Chris was born in Longview and grew up in Cathlamet. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry from what is now Bushnell University in Eugene Oregon. After graduating, Jan and he joined Youth With a Mission in Arkansas and Chris worked in the Audio Visual Department of the missionary training center and in various leadership positions. He also co-led short term mission trips for training schools and high school kids to Mexico and Guatemala. After 13 years of missionary work, Jan and Chris returned to Longview. He commuted to work at Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, working in transcription and coding education. Over the years they have served the local church at large in many capacities, and after retiring from Kaiser, he worked for Love INC for 5 years. He completed training in professional editing. He is currently working repairing instruments at PPI.  Chris has been a participant on many worship teams over the years, playing guitar and operating the sound booth. Chris began attending Longview Community Church in 2023 because he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to worship together regularly with two of his kids and his grandchildren.
