Fish Food Bank

Fish Food Bank

FISH of Cowlitz County helps people in ways that might seem insignificant, but to a family in financial crisis, a box of food, a prescription medication, help paying a water bill or treatment of an infected tooth can be essential.

FISH is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that helps people immediately. A hungry family can get food the morning they need it. A person needing an antibiotic s/he cannot afford may have a prescription filled within hours of calling a FISH volunteer.

The FISH Food Bank rotates among several different churches in our community.  Longview Community Church runs the FISH Food Bank in our fellowship hall for a 5-day period every other month.

You can help with continued prayers, volunteering your time, and donations of nonperishable unopened food, paper products, pet food, personal care items, and cleaning supplies.  We can use open packages of dry pet food.  We also use clean paper, plastic, and canvas bags.  Donations can be put in the FISH boxes located throughout the church.  Your donations help defray our costs and save time shopping.

Funding and food come from individual donations, LCC Missions Committee, FISH of Cowlitz County, CAP, and food banks.

All it takes is a phone call to the FISH line @ 360 636-1100.
